Ten minutes from the runway

Bremen Airport (BRE) is about 10 minutes by road from the old town, and tram line 6 runs from the terminal to the Hauptbahnhof. Flights into Hamburg (HAM) add about 125 km, roughly 1 h 35 min. For a fair or a cruise call, that longer run belongs in the timetable from the start.

Messe, arena and station

Messe Bremen and the ÖVB-Arena stand on the Bürgerweide, about three minutes on foot from the north exit of the Hauptbahnhof. Delegates arriving by train can walk; those in hotels across the city need a loop. The Bürgerweide car park takes coaches and lies outside the low-emission zone, but big events can take it over.

Each autumn, from mid-October into early November, the Freimarkt funfair fills the Bürgerweide. In such weeks, stage vehicles at Friedrich-Rauers-Straße / Breitenweg or the Rembertiring, each listed with 10 spaces.

Bremen's Umweltzone spans the Altstadt, the Östliche Vorstadt, a large share of the Neustadt and some of Schwachhausen, and admits only vehicles with a green sticker, coaches and foreign vehicles included. The quote names the sticker on the vehicle supplied.

For the Rathaus, the Roland, Böttcherstraße and the Schnoor, coaches set down on the Wachtstraße, with four places signed (08:00–20:00). The Schlachte stop is the Martinistraße; Breitenweg and Hugo-Schauinsland-Platz serve the station and the Übersee-Museum. Because the tourist board's coach plan is from 2022, the operator checks the city's live traffic information before the day.

Bremerhaven and longer runs

Bremerhaven's cruise terminal is about 68 km away, roughly 50 minutes on the A27. For the Havenwelten museums, the coach terminal on the Columbusstraße offers five covered bays and a 10-minute wait; the coach then moves some 900 m north to free parking on the Barkhausenstraße. Hamburg and Hanover are each about 1 h 25 min by road.
