Major Events: Road Closures, Coach Sites and Timing

Big events close streets and move coach stops. These pages set out what each one changes for a group transfer and what to confirm before the date.

What each event changes

Oktoberfest runs from 18 September to 3 October 2027; coaches may not park or set down at the Theresienwiese and use the city's designated coach sites. The Nuremberg Christkindlesmarkt runs from 27 November to 24 December 2026, with coaches setting down on the edge of the Altstadt. The Cologne Carnival peaks on Rosenmontag, 8 February 2027, when the city closes roads in the centre. The GENERALI BERLIN-MARATHON on 26 September 2027 keeps roads on the course closed for most of the day.

Coach arrangements are set each year, so the year's plan is confirmed when you book.

Planner questions

Can a coach drop us at the entrance?

Usually not. Each event moves coaches to set sites, and the last stretch is on foot or by public transport.

When should event transport be booked?

As soon as dates and hotels are fixed. Vehicles in the host city are in demand on event days.

Do you sell event tickets?

No. We arrange the transport only.
