Nuremberg Airport group transfers: compact terminal, short run, agreed stop
Nuremberg's airport is one compact building about 8 km from the Hauptmarkt. With no published coach point, the work sits in the joining instructions: where the group meets and where the vehicle stands.
Arrivals hall to forecourt
The normal pattern: meet in the arrivals hall, then walk out to the forecourt where the vehicle stands. Which spot it uses is settled with the operator at the time of booking and written into the joining notes, together with a named meeting place in the hall. Departures use halls 1 and 2, but arrivals come through a single hall, which keeps a split group easy to gather.
The Kiss & Fly zone, which begins after the entrance to car park P2, gives 8 minutes free, timed by number plate. That suits a car picking up one or two executives; a full group takes longer to load.

Height and length limits
Every multi-storey car park caps entrance height at 2.10 m, and anything taller than that or longer than 5 m should be cleared with the airport's parking team first. The operator does this for anything larger than a car.
Drive time to the city
- about 8 km by road to the Hauptmarkt, in the centre of Nürnberg, about 15 min in light traffic; longer at peak times
Terminals and arrival levels
- One compact terminal with departure hall 1 (Abflughalle 1), departure hall 2 (Abflughalle 2) and the arrivals hall (Ankunftshalle)
NürnbergMesse and the Altstadt
NürnbergMesse is in Langwasser, in the south-east of the city. By road the vehicle goes direct; by public transport, take the U2 into the Hauptbahnhof and change to the U1, a trip of about 20 minutes. For exhibitors, a morning shuttle from city hotels to the halls plus a separate airport run for late arrivals usually works better than one vehicle doing both.
Nürnberg has no Umweltzone. Coaches cannot enter the Altstadt, so hotels inside the walls are reached on foot from a set-down point the operator confirms.
The U2 and main-line trains
The U2 reaches the Hauptbahnhof in about 12 minutes, though just half its trains continue to the airport. There is no main-line station at the airport: ICE connections start at the Hauptbahnhof.
Arrival-day programmes
Bamberg is about 59 km away (about 50 minutes); Rothenburg ob der Tauber, about 82 km and 1 h 20 min; Regensburg, about 111 km and 1 h 15 min. Each fits as an afternoon or full-day add-on after a morning landing.
Planner questions
Is there a coach park at Nuremberg Airport?
None is published. Your operator fixes the stopping place when you book, and it goes into the joining notes.
How long from the airport to the Hauptmarkt?
About 15 minutes for the 8 km in light traffic.
Can delegates take the train to the Messe instead?
Yes: U2 to the Hauptbahnhof, change to U1, about 20 minutes altogether.
