Leipzig/Halle Airport group transfers: forecourt lanes and two cities
Leipzig/Halle serves two cities and a large exhibition centre from one terminal forecourt. Which lane the vehicle uses depends on how its operator has arranged access, so that is settled at booking.
Three forecourt lanes
The forecourt in front of Terminal B sits behind barriers. Taxis, transfer vehicles and other contract customers use lanes 1 and 2, having arranged access with the airport's parking management. Lane 3 is Kiss & Fly: about 80 bays, no height limit, 60 minutes at most, and none of the free minutes for commercial operators.
The airport publishes no coach point and no coach park. The meeting spot and the vehicle's position are therefore agreed between you and the operator before the day, and both go into the joining notes.

Departure drop-offs
For departures, P11 sits right in front of check-in and allows stays of up to 3 hours; P1 gives the first 10 minutes free once a day. With a 1.90 m height limit, the multi-storey car park is out of bounds for taller vehicles.
Drive time to the city
- about 21 km by road to the Markt, in the centre of Leipzig, about 25 min in light traffic; longer at peak times
Terminals and arrival levels
- Central check-in hall, directly above the airport railway station
- Terminal B (arrivals and departures)
- Terminal A
Rail: IC, not ICE
Trains leave from directly beneath the check-in area. S5 and S5X together run every 30 minutes, reaching Leipzig Hauptbahnhof in about 14 minutes and Halle (Saale) in about 10. IC trains stop every two hours from cities such as Dresden, Magdeburg, Hannover, Bielefeld and Köln, but ICE trains pass the airport by, so ICE travellers change in Leipzig or Halle. A delegation relying on the train should check the current rail service first.
Leipzig, Halle and the Leipziger Messe
The Markt in Leipzig is about 21 km, about 25 minutes in light traffic; Halle (Saale) is about 30 km, about 30 minutes. The Leipziger Messe lies in the north of Leipzig near the A14, and hotels around the exhibition centre suit a fair group arriving by air. Leipzig has an active Umweltzone, so the vehicle needs the green sticker.
The Leipziger Buchmesse runs from 18 to 21 March 2027; expect heavy demand for hotels and coach parking that week. Dresden's Neumarkt is about 124 km away, about 1 h 25 min, for groups combining both cities.
